Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a therapeutic technique, that originated in China around 4000 BC. It involves the insertion of sterile fine needles into specific points on the body, stimulating energy flow and promoting balance within. When acupuncture needles stimulate specific acupuncture points, this causes the release of chemicals called neurotransmitters. These neurotransmitters then travel via the central nervous system to the brain, where they either activate or inhibit other nerve signals and regulate the release of hormones and control different aspects of health.
